In order to enhance our understanding of laser cutting machine, we have sorted out two common problems in sheet metal processing and provided solutions to facilitate customers to adjust themselves when these production problems really arise.
Question: When cutting carbon steel, there are always burrs on the cutting surface.
Answer: As we all know, the working principle of laser cutting machine is to use the energy of light to cut metal sheet. Therefore, when the cutting surface of sheet metal appears burrs, the first thing to consider is the position of laser focus, which will lead to the ineffective processing of sheet metal. Therefore, the solution is to adjust the focus orientation of the laser head. If there is no problem with the focus of the laser head, then the laser power should be considered. Because the cutting ability of different power lasers is different, if the thickness of the processed carbon steel exceeds the cutting limit of the laser, the cutting quality will decrease linearly. Third, the auxiliary gas should be checked. Generally speaking, only when the purity of the auxiliary gas is higher, the cutting performance of the laser cutting machine will be better, so the quality of the auxiliary gas should be ensured.
Question: Why is it that sometimes there is an incomplete phenomenon?
Answer: The main reason for instability in processing like this is that the nozzle of the laser head does not match the thickness of the processing material. Then, the cutting speed of laser cutting machine is too fast, and the operation control is needed to reduce the linear speed. The deviation between the induction forbidden guide of nozzle and the laser focus area is large, and the induction data of nozzle need to be re-detected, especially when cutting aluminium material.
